Southern Star Closes Package Deal in Czech Republic

SYDNEY, April 10: Southern
Star International has sold a package of 21 titles to TV Barrandov in the Czech
Republic, including the hit Wire In The Blood.

The package also includes
the dramas All Saints and Two
Twisted, as well as factual
programming such as Attack!, Forensic Investigators, Lemur Street and True Stories. TV
Barrandov, which was granted the license in 2006, is set to launch late this
summer.

Jana Porybná, the head of
acquisitions for TV Barrandov, commented: “We are very pleased with the
Southern Star package which includes, among others,the well acclaimed medical
series All Saints and the
internationally very successful telemovie series Wire In The Blood. They will both be broadcast during our launch, All
Saints in the afternoon slots and Wire
In The Blood will be our
prime-time program.”
