Beyond’s New Macdonald’s Farm Heads to Disney Channel

CANNES, April 7: Disney Channel
Australia and New Zealand has picked up the preschool series New Macdonald’s
Farm from
Beyond Distribution to air on Playhouse Disney in July.

The series combines live action with
studio pieces, and targets the 2-to-5 set with an entertaining mix of concepts,
including sharing and friendship.

Anthony Danna, the programming director
for Disney Channel Australia and New Zealand, said, “We are proud to bring
another quality and successful Australian production to Playhouse Disney. New
Macdonald’s Farm is a series that encourages preschoolers to imagine and learn
through movement, song and entertainment which makes it a perfect fit for the
Playhouse Disney brand.”

Fiona Crago, Beyond Distribution’s
general manager, said, “We are delighted Disney Channel Australia and New
Zealand has acquired 45 episodes of New Macdonald’s Farm as part of their 2008
programming lineup. This is a wonderful opportunity for this title and I know
Playhouse Disney’s audience will embrace the colourful and creative storylines
of this program.”
