Challenge to Debut New Home-Video Series from Bullseye

LONDON, April 4: Virgin
Media Television’s light-entertainment channel Challenge has exclusively
acquired Bullseye Television’s home-video series Les Dennis’s Home Video
Heroes
for a prime-time slot in
its summer schedule.

Hosted by popular British
entertainer Les Dennis, the new series will compile the most humorous and
unfortunate video gaffes from archive footage and bring together a selection of
classics from homemade movies and unwitting video stars of recent years.
Commentator Stuart Hall will add to the comedy with his brand of infectious
wit.

Les Dennis’s Home Video
Heroes
is executive produced by
Martin Oxley, the head of entertainment development for Bullseye Television.
Ian Illett is the series producer. Zodiak International will be distributing
the show, which will premiere at MIPTV next week.

Challenge’s summer
schedule will also include the new commission It’s Not What You Know, hosted by Chris Tarrant, and a third commissioned
season of the game show Take It Or Leave It with Richard Arnold.

Dave Clarke, the channel
controller for Challenge, said: “We’re excited to have Les Dennis, one of
Britain’s favorite entertainers, present a brand new show for Challenge. Les
will be doing what he does best, entertaining the public with his blend of humor
and wit in a classic and winning format.”
