Fireworks Inks Sales for Harmony Gold titles

LONDON, April 3: Fireworks International has closed a range of deals for
titles from the Harmony Gold catalogue, including the flagship series Robotech.

Robotech is a science-fiction anime offering, which was
recently acquired by Warner Bros. for feature-film production in association
with Toby Maguire’s Maguire Entertainment. The series and the feature film Robotech:
The Shadow Chronicles
have been picked up by Space for English-speaking
Canada, Divisa Red for Spain and Portugal and ITA for Internet SVOD rights in
Australasia. Teledifusora in Paraguay picked up the series for broadcast, while
TF1 Video acquired home video/VOD rights for the feature film in France and
French-speaking Europe.

LAPTV picked up two feature films to air in Latin America: the comedy Dirt
and
the teen comedy Going Down. The thriller Heart of Fear was taken up by
One Films in Spain, while VRT took on the live-action family feature Abe
& Bruno
for Flemish-speaking Belgium.

DARO snapped up a range of titles for Africa, including The Man Who
Lived at the Ritz
, The Lost World, Return to the Lost
World
, Around the World in 80 Days, Heidi and King of
the Olympics
.

The home-video rights for the mini-series Shaka Zulu have been sold
to Force Video for Australia and New Zealand, and E.BisMedia took on the TV and
Internet/VOD rights to Around the World in 80 Days and The
Adventures of Rin Tin Tin
for Italy and Italian-speaking Europe.
