Foothill Entertainment Inks DVD Deal for RARG

SANTA BARBARA, March 21:
Foothill Entertainment has reached an agreement with IMC Vision in the U.K. to
release the BAFTA-nominated animated series RARG on DVD for the first time.

The half-hour RARG has been re-mastered into a widescreen format from
its original production and will be available this month. Produced by British
animation house Collingwood O’Hare Entertainment, RARG first aired on Channel 4 in the U.K. The DVD
release also marks the 20th anniversary of the first collaboration between the
property’s director, Tony Collingwood and its producer, Christopher O’Hare,
which launched their studio in 1988.

Narrated by Sir Nigel
Hawthorne (The Madness of King George, Yes Minister,
Amistad
, Gandhi), RARG
is set in a fantasy world where the population thrives on making exciting new
discoveries. However, one day, an astonishing discovery is made where the
Rargians realize that they are just a dream within the sleeping mind of a man
named Edwin Barnes.

“We are thrilled to be
representing this esteemed classic from Collingwood O’Hare,” said Jo
Kavanagh-Payne, the president of Foothill. “Long a favorite of animation fans,
we are delighted that RARG will
finally be available for people to enjoy at home and share with their
families.”
