Little Airplane Productions Opens London-Based Studio

NEW YORK, March 14: Little
Airplane Productions, the creator of popular preschool shows such as Nick Jr.’s
The Wonder Pets!, Playhouse
Disney’s Go, Baby! and NOGGIN’s
Oobi!, has opened a new studio
in London, its first base outside the U.S.

The opening of the new
studio comes on the heels of Little Airplane's recently announced 3rd &
Bird! co-production agreement with
the BBC’s CBeebies Productions. Little Airplane UK is run by Heather Tilert,
who until recently was the producer of The Wonder Pets! Tilert is now the supervising producer of 3rd
& Bird! and she oversees the
production of this series in both the U.S. and the U.K.

“Little Airplane UK's new
studio is in the shadow of London's Tower Bridge and our hope is that we will
help bridge the gap between the vibrant preschool television communities in the
U.S. and the U.K.,” said Josh Selig, the president of Little Airplane
Productions. “Little Airplane UK is now incorporated in the U.K. and we look
forward to developing co-production relationships with our friends and
colleagues throughout the United Kingdom.”
