NBC’s Deal or No Deal to Feature Foreign-Based Games

BURBANK, February 29: The
hit game show Deal or No Deal,
from Endemol USA, will roll out special two-hour episodes with games played in
Estonia, South Africa and the Philippines.

Airing in May, the
international games will be played by American contestants on the actual sets
in the respective country, with a local host, models and banker. U.S. host
Howie Mandel will be on hand to help American contestants as they play the game
according to the foreign set’s rules. In between games, Mandel will take the
viewers on a guided tour of the countries.

"Deal or No Deal is an international success story so it makes
perfect sense to take our act on the road and provide American audiences with a
first-hand look at how it's done in other corners of the globe," said
David Goldberg, the president of Endemol USA. "It should be a lot of fun
for the host countries when they see Howie, who is a great ambassador for the
show, take the stage."
