Chop Socky Chooks Heads to Cartoon Network in Germany

TORONTO/LONDON/BERLIN,
February 20: DHX Media’s distribution subsidiary
DECODE Enterprises has secured a broadcast deal for the 3-D-animated series Chop
Socky Chooks
with Cartoon Network in
Germany.

The series,
aimed at children aged 7 to 11, is a DECODE Entertainment co-production with
Aardman Animations. Chop Socky Chooks follows a crack team of kung fu chickens who work
undercover in shopping mall run by their archenemy. The show is currently in
production for Cartoon Network (worldwide) and TELETOON.

Anke Greifeneder, the
director of programming and acquisitions at Cartoon Network in Germany, said: “Chop
Socky Chooks
perfectly combines
comedy and action. We are excited to have this high-quality production as world
premiere on Cartoon Network in Germany on February 23.”

Neil Court, the president
of DECODE Enterprises, added: “We are delighted that Cartoon Network in Germany
has followed the other international channels in committing to Chop Socky
Chooks
and has underlined its
confidence in the series by licensing all TV rights for the territory.”
