NGC Takes on Who Knew? With Marshall Brain

WASHINGTON, February 8:
National Geographic Channel (NGC) in the U.S. will air a new series exploring
the world of product design and manufacturing, beginning March 13 at 8 p.m.

In Who Knew? With
Marshall Brain,
viewers are taken
on a cross-country trip to examine the inner workings of state-of-the-art
factories and the science behind the operations of engineering and
manufacturing. Brain, who is the author of the bestselling book How Stuff
Works
, will host the 3×1-hour
series. The first episode to roll out will explore the golf ball, speedboats
and fireworks; the second looks at guns, a bike and fire extinguishers; the
third takes on cars, the airbag and money.

The series is produced by
Atlas Media Corp for the National Geographic Channel. Series producers are
Bruce David Klein, Cheryl Miller Houser and Oliver Miede. For NGC, the
executive producer is Michael Welsh, the senior VP of special programming is
Michael Cascio and the executive VP of content is Steve Burns.
