Former Alliance Atlantis Exec Joins Brown Bag Films

DUBLIN/TORONTO, January 24: Irish animation studio Brown Bag
Films has tapped former Alliance Atlantis executive Alan Gregg as its VP of
international production, based out of the company’s newly-opened Toronto
office.

Gregg will work closely with Gerald Murphy, Brown Bag Films’
director of development, to oversee the expansion of the company’s development
slate in both television and feature films, with an emphasis on preschool,
family and tween properties. Gregg will report to Cathal Gaffney, the managing
director of Brown Bag Films.

A veteran of the children’s business in Canada, Gregg joined
Alliance Atlantis from Corus-owned kids network YTV in early 2000. There he was
instrumental in shaping the kids’ production/distribution division and oversaw
the creative development of numerous properties, both animated and live action,
including Henry’s World, Ace
Lightning, Dragon Booster and most recently, Lunar Jim. In 2005, he was promoted to VP of production and
distribution, taking over responsibility for international sales of the kids
library.

Established in 1994 and headquartered in Dublin, Brown Bag
Films’ most recent projects include Crap Rap for RTÉ and Wobblyland
for Nickelodeon UK/HIT Entertainment.
