NBC to Air Guinness World Records Prime-Time Special

NEW YORK, January 23: Guinness World Records TV has secured
a two-hour prime-time slot on NBC for its live special Guinness World Records Live: Top 100, which will air on January 27 at 9 p.m.

Produced by Endemol subsidiary True Entertainment, this
one-off special will feature a countdown of the 100 greatest Guinness World
Records in history, including some of the most memorable and wacky records ever
attempted. The event will culminate at Universal City, Los Angeles with expert
stunt rider Clint Ewing attempting to break the record for the longest
motorcycle tunnel of fire. The event will be hosted by British television
personality Fearne Cotton (Top of the Pops,
Live 8, Eurovision Song
Contest
, The Xtra Factor, Brit Awards).

Rob Molloy, the director of television at Guinness World
Records, said: “This commission with one of America’s biggest networks shows
the huge appeal of working with the Guinness World Records brand on TV. The
versatility of our content means it can be tailored for almost any channel and
audience and we hope success with this show will lead to more collaborations
