Turner Europe Inks Ringtones Deal with Vringo

NEW YORK/LONDON, January 17: Video ringtone outfit Vringo
and Turner Broadcasting System Europe have partnered to enable Vringo
subscribers in Europe, the Middle East and Africa to download clips from
Cartoon Network and Adult Swim as video ringtones.

The 2- to 10-second clips can be downloaded to mobile
handsets from the Vringo website. When a call is placed, the clip appears on
the recipient’s phone screen as a video ringtone. Content available includes Foster’s
Home for Imaginary Friends and Dexter’s
Laboratory.

“Animation appeals to people of all ages,” said Joe Braman,
the director of mobile sales at Turner Broadcasting. “Through this agreement
with Vringo, people of all generations will be able to enjoy well-known
cartoons in yet another way—as video ringtones that they can share with
their friends, young and old.”
