Portfolio Entertainment Notches Up New Deals

TORONTO, December 18: Portfolio Entertainment has secured a
number of international sales deals, including one with Red Media Group in
Russia for four lifestyle programs.

The Russian-based Red Media Group has acquired the exclusive
pay-cable and satellite television rights for four lifestyle programs from
Portfolio Entertainment. These series are Cowboy Country Television, which captures the adventures of the cowboy
lifestyle and culture in HD; Chef At Home, a cooking show featuring chef Michael Smith in his home kitchen; French
Food At Home
, in which Laura Calder
articulates the philosophy of French cooking; and Know Limits, a “generation X” sports adventure series.

Portfolio has also made several sales to the U.S. The
on-demand network LifeSkool has acquired exclusive on-demand rights for the
children’s series Spellz, which reveals
the mysteries behind magical tricks, and Ruffus The Dog, which
utilizes puppetry to encourage literacy. Meanwhile, Atlanta Interfaith
Broadcasters has picked up the U.S. broadcast rights for Groundling
Marsh
, Ruffus The Dog and Panda Daycare.
