Granada Scores Rights to VH1’s Old Skool

LONDON, December 11: Granada International (GI) has secured
the worldwide distribution rights, excluding the U.S., for VH1’s upcoming
factual entertainment series Old Skool with Terry and Gita.

The 5×30-minute series, created and produced by
award-winning producers Bunim/Murray, was commissioned by VH1 in the U.S. for
debut in 2008. Granada International will launch the series at NATPE 2008.

Old Skool with Terry and Gita centers on two elderly ladies, Terry Moore and Gita Hall, as they lend
their take on the hottest topics in pop culture today. Moore, 77, was a movie
star, ex-wife of billionaire Howard Hughes and a friend of Elvis, James Deal
and Marilyn Monroe. Hall, the world’s first supermodel, is now 72 and mixes
with royalty and stars.

Old Skool with
Terry and Gita
is executive produced by Jon Murray and Jeff
Jenkins for Bunim/Murray Productions and Grant Cramer for Moore/Cramer
Productions. Michael Hirschorn, Jeff Olde, Jill Holmes and Jenn Levy serve as
executive producers for VH1.

Gary McDonagh, GI’s factual executive, commented: “We are
delighted to have acquired this exciting and novel new series. Old Skool is a great piece of character-driven factual
entertainment, with all the classic elements to make it a huge success
internationally.”
