MTG’s Viasat, CDON Expand VOD Content

STOCKHOLM, December 10: MTG’s Viasat Broadcasting and CDON
have inked a three-year licensing deal with Nordisk Film for a selection of
feature films and TV series that will be made available on their streaming VOD
services in Scandinavia.

Content will be offered on a VOD basis on ViasatOnDemand.se,
.dk, .no and on CDON.com via streaming over the Internet.

At launch, 250 titles, including American films such as Babel, Revolver
and TMNT, will be available, as
well as upcoming projects like Bangkok Dangerous, featuring Nicolas Cage. The deal also includes a
selection of Nordic productions like the hit Swedish franchise Beck, the Norwegian Olsenbanden jr. films, the Danish hit Karlas Kabale and the upcoming Millennium projects based on Stieg Larsson’s series.

ViasatOnDemand and CDON already provide streaming of a broad
selection of content from suppliers such as Warner Bros., Scanbox, Sandrew
Metronome, SF, Sonet and Playboy, among others. Also on the services are live
sports events such as the UEFA Champions League and UEFA EURO 2008 qualifying
matches and in-house-produced content from Viasat's broad portfolio of
channels. Further negotiations with various major studios are ongoing.
