USA Extends Contract for WWE Monday Night Raw

NEW YORK, December 7: NBC Universal-owned cable channel USA
Network has re-upped the current contract for World Wrestling Entertainment’s WWE
Monday Night RAW
for an additional two
years.

The extension comes as the wrestling series plans to
celebrate its upcoming 15th anniversary with a three-hour long special on
December 10 at 8 p.m. The prime-time cable series aired on USA for seven years
before moving to Spike TV in September 2000. It returned to USA in October
2005, where it has averaged 5.07 million total viewers, 2.6 million in the
18-49 demo, and 2.3 million in the 25-53 demo.

In the coming year, WWE will continue to provide NBC with
special programming twice a year for the late-night Saturday time slot. In
addition, WWE will continue to provide its weekend program A.M. RAW for USA and provide a Spanish-language version of Monday
Night RAW
for Telemundo and mun2.
