Sports-Themed Improv Series Hits iTunes, Amazon Unbox

CHICAGO, December 6: The first and second seasons of Towers
Productions’ improv comedy TV series Sports Action Team will be available on Apple’s iTunes Store and the
digital video download service Amazon Unbox, beginning December 11.

Thirty-two episodes in total will be available for download
from the online platforms, with each episode following the antics of a hapless
team of sports reporters in their delusional attempt to reach the pinnacle of
sports broadcasting. With a cast made up of alumni of Chicago-based improv
comedy groups Second City and IO (formerly Improv Olympic), the series features
appearances from sports professionals and celebrities including New England Patriots
wide receiver Randy Moss, Late Night
host Conan O'Brien, Indy Car racer Danica Patrick, Pro Football Hall of Fame
coach Mike Ditka, and boxing impresario Don King.

A syndicated first-run television series, Sports Action
Team
is distributed by MGM Worldwide
Television and is currently cleared in 50 percent of the country. The series
airs in most markets on Sunday night following NFL Sunday Night Football. Sports
Action Team
also airs nationally on HDNet
on Fridays at 8 p.m.
