Character Rides for PorchLight’s Jay Jay the Jet Plane

LOS ANGELES, November 13:
PorchLight has announced that the first series of coin-operated character rides
based on its 3-D animated preschool property Jay Jay the Jet Plane are being installed at retail outlets across the
U.S.

Coinstar, which produced
the character rides, expects to install nearly 200 coin-operated Jay Jay kiddie rides over the next year, while more than 30
rides have already been delivered to select regional mass merchants and toy
stores throughout the country. The rides feature characters that include Jay
Jay, Lina and Snuffy, and play themed music and sound effects.

Created by Deborah and
David Michel, the 3-D animated Jay Jay the Jet Plane series follows the adventures of a six-year-old jet
plane and his airplane friends. The show is broadcast on PBS KIDS in the U.S.,
and is produced by PorchLight Entertainment and Modern Cartoons. PorchLight holds the exclusive
worldwide distribution rights to the series.

“We have seen first hand
the excitement, enthusiasm and downright affection children openly display when
they see the rides,” said William Baumann, PorchLight’s COO and executive
producer of Jay Jay the Jet Plane.
“The parent’s excitement when their little ones are flying is equally fun.”
