ACI Scores New Deals at the AFM

SANTA MONICA, November 1: American Cinema International
(ACI) has concluded a raft of new deals at the AFM and has also announced that
production is set to begin on Well, its
fourth film with Zeitsprung Entertainment.

SPI International has picked up a package of 13 titles from
ACI, including Perfect Hideout, 80
Minutes
, The Lost Samaritan and ACI’s action adventure series Jack
Hunter: The Lost Treasure of Ugarit
for
Eastern Europe, covering Poland, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Czech Republic,
Slovakia, ex-Yugoslavia and Albania. ACI has also finalized a multi-picture
deal with Eagle Films for the Middle East that includes the films Perfect
Hideout
, 80 Minutes and The Lost Samaritan. New View TV and Media in China acquired the rights
for Jack Hunter: The Lost Treasure of Ugarit, which it plans to release theatrically, as did
Showtime in Turkey. And Japan’s Zazie Films signed a package deal for three
horror titles: Mangler Reborn, Brutal and Chicago Massacre.

The action thriller Well is the fourth film under a multi-picture pact that ACI holds with
Zeitsprung. The film will star Steve Guttenberg as a father who is trying to
save his son who has fallen into a well.

Production recently wrapped on the third ACI/Zeitsprung
collaboration, The Lost Samaritan, starring
Ian Somerhalder and Ruta Gedmintas. A trailer for the film will be screened in
the ACI suite at AFM, along with world premiere screenings for the first two
films under the agreement, Perfect Hideout with Billy Zane (Titanic)
and 80 Minutes starring Gabriel
Mann (The Bourne Supremacy).
