Nick.com, Nicktropolis Sets Gaming Records in August

NEW YORK, September 19:
The Nickelodeon Kids and Family Group of sites, which includes Nick.com,
Nicktropolis.com, and Neopets, among others, served up more than 750 million
game plays in August, a 43-percent increase over the same month a year ago.

Nick.com and
Nicktropolis.com recorded their best month ever in game plays. According to
Omniture SiteCatalyst, Nick.com had more than 128 million game plays, a
54-percent-plus increase versus August 2006, while Nicktropolis earned 48.4
million game plays, a 12-percent-plus increase for the site versus July 2007.
Other websites within the Nickelodeon Kids and Family Group include
Neopets.com, a youth community on the Internet, led the sites with more than
322 million game plays for the month, while Shockwave.com and The-N.com
recorded 43.1 and 27.4 million game plays, respectively. Neopets.com and
The-N.com both had their highest month ever in total U.S. monthly unique
visitors, drawing more than 5.9 million and 2 million unique visitors, a
50-percent-plus and 93-percent-plus increase respectively, versus last year's
similar time period. In addition, the youth gaming site AddictingGames.com
scored 151 million game plays in August. The site also attracted more than nine
million unique visitors for the month in 2007, up more than 81 percent among
total U.S. monthly unique visitors versus the August of last year.

Nickelodeon Kids and
Family Group recently announced a $100 million commitment to develop,
distribute and create casual gaming titles, sites and platforms. The
Nickelodeon Kids and Family Group of websites also includes NickJr.com and
Noggin.com. MTV Networks recently committed to invest more than $500 million
over the next two years in the development and distribution of its gaming
business across its global portfolio.
