Lifetime Announces Record-Breaking Finale of Army Wives

NEW YORK, August 29: The season finale of Lifetime
Television’s Army Wives on Sunday,
August 26, was the network’s most-watched original series telecast in history, attracting
4.1 million people aged 2 and older.

The season finale garnered a season-high 3.4 household
rating and also ranked as the number-one program in ad-supported cable in
Sunday prime time for the thirteenth straight week among women 25 to 54 and the
seventh consecutive week among women aged 18 to 49. Online, Army Wives traffic on LifetimeTV.com broke a record on Monday,
August 27, soaring 135 percent over the previous high set on June 3, the day
after the drama premiered. Army Wives returns for a second season in the spring of 2008.

Army Wives is now
Lifetime's highest-rated original scripted drama series ever among U.S.
households, women 18 to 34, women 18 to 49, women 25 to 54, women 18 and older,
and people aged 2 and older. The 13-episode series is also basic cable’s
number-one drama among women aged 18 to 34, as well as the number-one freshman
drama of the year among women 18 to 49 and women 24 to 54. Throughout the
season, it averaged 3.7 million people aged 2 and older, a 3.1 household
rating, 580,000 women 18 to 34 (2.1 rating), 1.4 million women 18 to 49 (2.5
rating), and 1.4 million women 25 to 54 (2.7 rating).
