Endemol Scores New Korean Deals

HILVERSUM,
August 28: Endemol International has optioned five of its formats to the Korean
production company Olive9 ahead of the Broadcast Worldwide (BCWW) 2007
conference in Seoul.

The deal
includes the international game show Set for Life, which has aired on ABC in the U.S.,
ITV1 in the U.K., RTL in the Netherlands, Telefe in Argentina and TV3 in
Norway. Endemol’s U.K. hit Golden Balls, which airs on ITV1, is also included in the deal.
Other shows that have been optioned by Olive9 include the game show Last
Passenger
, dating show Exposed
and sports reality
format The Games.

This follows
the Korean success of Endemol’s 1 vs. 100, which launched on KBS in May and was one of the
first international formats to be locally adapted in the country.
