Starz Names Creative Development Executive VP

BURBANK, August 16: Starz Media has named William Hamm as
executive VP of creative development, a newly created position that will give
him oversight of project development for the company.

Hamm joins the company in late August, and will be based at
its headquarters in Burbank. He will report to Kent Rice, the president and COO
of Starz Media. He is charged with using his contacts at networks, studios and
agencies to bring in new TV, film and new-media projects, working closely with
Bill Clark, the president of Starz Home Entertainment, Scott Greenberg, the
president of Film Roman and Starz Productions, and David Steinberg, the head of
Starz Animation Toronto.

Hamm is a 20-year entertainment business veteran, most
recently serving as the executive VP of television at Sam Raimi’s Ghost House
Pictures. He was previously head of scripted series development at Tribune
Entertainment, overseeing Gene Roddenberry’s Andromeda and Mutant X. Hamm is also a former senior VP of scripted drama at Universal
Television and held positions at ABC and Granada.
