ION Picks Up CBS Newsmagazine

WEST PALM BEACH, August 15: ION Media Networks has acquired
from CBS Television Distribution the hour-long news program 48 Hours for broadcast on its flagship network, ION
Television, which reaches more than 93 million homes.

Hosted by Erin Moriarty, the show will appear weeknights on
ION Television beginning in the fourth quarter. Under terms of the agreement,
previously aired installments of 48 Hours
will be updated with new graphics and wraps by Moriarty, who will provide the
audience with new findings in ongoing investigations. Moriarty has been a
correspondent for 48 Hours since
June 1990 and has a law degree. She previously had been the consumer
correspondent for CBS This Morning
and the CBS Evening News.

"48 Hours is
quality, contemporary, versatile programming with great appeal for our
family-oriented audiences," said Brandon Burgess, the CEO of ION Media
Networks. "We are very pleased with this CBS content relationship, as we
look to grow the ION Television network in coming years, through programming
relationships with quality suppliers."

"Providing an excellent mix of mystery, drama and
reality, 48 Hours is one of television's
most successful newsmagazine programs," said Stacey Nagel Galper, the
senior VP of programming and strategic planning for ION Media Networks.
"For ION Television, it adds a dose of mystery and suspense to our
generally light-hearted and upbeat weekday schedule. We are also very pleased
to have a well-respected and leading broadcast journalist, Erin Moriarty, as
our host."
