qubo Reveals New Fall Programming Slate

NEW YORK, August 8: qubo—the
multiplatform children’s programming block that currently airs on NBC, ION
Television, and Telemundo—has announced its programming line-up for the
fall, which will feature the U.S. television debut of the British series Postman
Pat.

The new qubo fall
line-up will begin airing on NBC on Saturday, October 6 at 10 a.m. The
programming block airs Fridays on ION Television from 3-6 p.m., and on
Telemundo on Saturdays and Sundays from 8-9:30 a.m. The new programming will
also air seven days a week on the qubo digital network that launched in January, and online.

Entertainment Rights’ Postman Pat is one of the top-rated shows airing on the BBC and
the preschool channel CBeebies. The series follows the eponymous character and
his loyal sidekick Jess the Cat as he sets off each morning to deliver the mail
to his neighbors in the town of Greendale. The two leave a lasting impression
on the town and help provide lessons about neighborliness and community.

qubo’s fall schedule
also includes the premiere of My Friend Rabbit, a series
inspired by the popular book by Eric Rohmann. Produced by Nelvana, the series
follows Rabbit and his best friend Mouse as they try to find the end of
rainbows, turn the moon on and off, play Follow the Leader with their geese
friends, the Gibble Girls, and learn about life from a menagerie of friends
that includes alligators, rhinos and more.

The two new series join a number of returning programs on qubo. There will be additional episodes of VeggieTales,
which centers on the adventures of Bob the
tomato, Larry the cucumber and their veggie friends; new episodes of Dragon,
a series provided by Scholastic that
features a big, blue friendly dragon who first appeared in the a popular book
series of the same name from author Dav Pilkey; additional episodes of 3-2-1
Penguins!,
about the intergalactic
adventures of penguins, and of the medieval-themed series Jane and
the Dragon,
co-produced by Weta Productions
and Nelvana.
