ABC, Sky Dominate Promax/BDA Promo, Marketing Awards

NEW YORK, June 15: ABC dominated the North American
competition at the Promax/BDA 2007 Promotion and Marketing Awards last night,
while BSkyB picked up the most Gold awards among the World Gold contenders.

The awards ceremony, which took place at the Hilton New York
Hotel, was hosted by ABC's Tom Bergeron (Dancing with the Stars and Funniest Home Videos), and wrapped up the three-day conference hosted by
Promax/BDA. The honors were divided regionally into North America and World
Gold. For the North American competition, ABC took home the most Gold awards at
15. Canada's CHUM Television and The CW each picked up 14 Golds, while design
firm Studio City earned 13 Gold statues.

Among the World Gold contenders, Britain's BSkyB captured
nine Gold awards. The Middle East's MBC Creative Services and Star India each
earned seven Golds, and the U.K.'s Red Bee Media picked up six Gold statues.

The ceremony also included the presentation of two special
honors. The second annual Promax/BDA—Yahoo! Big Idea Chair Award for
Creative Excellence went to ABC, in recognition of its forward thinking and use
of integrated elements to promote consumer engagement and drive awareness and
tune-in. For the second year running, Zap2it.com presented its
"Interactive Break-Through Award,” which recognizes the most innovative
and effective use of online media to drive program viewership. The award went
to 20th Century Fox Television Marketing.

In addition, Promax/BDA also hosted the Discovery Planet
Green Eco Service Award, which was presented to Mexico’s Consejo de la
Comunicacion during Wednesday’s “Shades of Green” session. This award
acknowledges responsible efforts from the industry to raise awareness about
environmental issues, present solutions and encourage action through public
service announcements (PSAs).

"We received a record number of entries this
year," said Lee Hunt, the interim managing director of Promax/BDA.
"And as our members are constantly being challenged by emerging media
platforms, new technologies and brand extensions that didn't even exist a year
ago—to say nothing of the intense competition—the high caliber work
represented among this year's winners is made that much more impressive."
