Sullivan Entertainment Secures Worldwide Distribution Rights to Film

TORONTO,
June 5: Sullivan Entertainment has picked up the worldwide distribution rights
for the new award-winning film Love is Work, which will be released theatrically in Canada
this week.

From
filmmaker Johnny Kalangis, Love is Work stars Fabrizio Filippo (Billable Hours) and Shauna MacDonald (ReGenesis, Kalangis’ newest film The Mad) and explores the themes of love and relationships
as it follows the intense moments in the lives of five couples. The film has
already won the Audience Choice Award at the Whistler International Film
Festival, and the jury prize for best ensemble cast at the Canadian Filmmakers
Festival.

Sullivan
Entertainment’s recent acquisition is the latest in a slew of deals for new and
original third-party programming. The company has also recently picked up
distribution rights for the dark comedy Rhinoceros Eyes; the film The Overlookers, which follows a group of twenty-somethings as they
cross paths through an online dating service; Run Robot Run, a comedic look at the work force; and the
three-part series Water, Water, which
explores our global interdependence on water.

“We are very excited to be
representing such a smart and thought provoking film that speaks to a worldwide
audience,” said Kevin Sullivan, the company’s executive producer and president.
“It is a great addition to our successful catalogue and we look forward to
representing many more films and TV series in a similar genre.”
