Peace Arch Preps Film Based on Reader’s Digest Story

LOS ANGELES, May 30: Reader's Digest Association is working
with Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment and Peace Arch Entertainment on Ace
of Hearts
, a movie based on a true story
published by Reader's Digest in 2002.

The film is about a law-enforcement officer and his
crime-fighting dog. Production is slated to begin this week for an early 2008
release. It stars Dean Cain (Lois and Clark).
The movie will be the first released under the new brand, Reader's Digest
Family Films.

Peace Arch Entertainment will produce the film in
association with Bogner Entertainment and will distribute it internationally.
Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment will handle U.S. marketing and
distribution. Reader's Digest Association will provide magazine, direct
marketing and online promotion.

Reader's Digest is
the country's largest magazine, reaching nearly 40 million people, and is part
of a network of 50 editions worldwide.
