BBC Entertainment Acquires Derren Brown Series for Asia

LONDON, May 18: BBC
Entertainment has acquired a variety of programming for its Asian feed,
including specials and series featuring award-winning psychological illusionist
Derren Brown, and the six-part celebrity-themed series Star Stories.

Produced by Objective
Productions and distributed by Channel 4 International, the Derren Brown
programming will premiere on BBC Entertainment, starting from July. They
include the titles Derren Brown: Trick Of The Mind; Russian Roulette;
Séance: Messiah: Mind Control: Something Wicked This Way Comes; The Heist and The Series. The programs will see Brown wield his powers of
perception over unsuspecting audiences.

Produced by Channel Four, Star
Stories is an exposé of the
world’s top superstars, including Madonna and Guy Ritchie, Catherine Zeta-Jones
and Michael Douglas, Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt, Sadie Frost and Jude Law,
and Victoria and David Beckham. Channel 4 International also distributes this
series.

BBC Entertainment is
available in Thailand, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Singapore and Korea.
