Showtime’s Brotherhood Set to Air in Ireland

DUBLIN, April 10: Brotherhood, Showtime’s original series about two brothers in an Irish-American
neighborhood in Providence, Rhode Island, has been acquired by Ireland’s
Channel 6 in a deal with CBS Paramount International Television.

The show features two brothers—one a gangster, the
other a politician. It launches on the Irish entertainment network on April 15.
The broadcaster has picked up the first-run rights to all 11 episodes of season
one of the show.

“There has been a lot of talk about this series and, of
course, the fact that it features one of our great actresses, Fionnula
Flanagan, and an Irish-American theme adds to the interest level here in
Ireland,” said Michael Murphy, the founder and director of programs at Channel
6. “We are excited to be the TV station to give Brotherhood its Irish debut.”

Channel 6 has acquired a number of series from CBS Paramount
International Television in the past. Most recently, the channel licensed the
talk show Rachael Ray, which premiered
last month.
