TV Land Unveils New Slate

NEW YORK, March 26: In an
effort to cater to the growing Baby Boomer population in the U.S., MTV
Networks’ TV Land has unveiled a number of on- and off-air activities that
include an ambitious slate of upcoming original and acquired programming, an
expanded roster of movies, multiplatform content, and the new endeavor Cause
Change.

In the coming weeks and
months, several new original shows, pilots and specials will be added to the TV
Land lineup including The Fifth Annual TV Land Awards Show, hosted by Kelly Ripa, which will celebrate the 30th
anniversary of the epic mini-series Roots and airs April 22; the
pilot of the previously announced series High School Reunion, which reunited more than a dozen alumni from a 1986
high school class, which will air on August 8; and the half-hour series Back
to the Grind,
which allows iconic
TV personalities to perform the real-life version of the jobs their characters
held, premiering on October 10.

Other original shows are
also scheduled to return to the network’s lineup include the half-hour series
TV Land Confidential,
airing July
11, which brings viewers the tales behind various TV shows, musical performers
and movies; and TV Land Myths & Legends: Elvis Presley, which is based on the popularity of the first
season of TV Land Myths & Legends, and coincides with TV Land's month-long salute to Elvis Presley that
begins August 3.

TV Land has acquired
numerous programs revolving around Elvis Presley for the August tribute,
including: Elvis: '68 Comeback Special, Aloha from Hawaii, Elvis: The Great Performances and Ed Sullivan's Rock and Roll Classics: Elvis Presley, as well as documentaries such as Elvis By the
Presleys
, Elvis on Tour and Elvis: His Best Friend Remembers. TV Land will also add the medical comedy series Scrubs
to its schedule beginning in
October 2008 and the office comedy Just Shoot Me starting from the first quarter of 2008.

Beginning April 6, TV Land
will also present a number of iconic movies targeted at Boomers, including The
Blues Brothers Movie
; Beetlejuice; Caddyshack; Fletch; National
Lampoon's Vacation
; Pleasantville; White Men Can't Jump; Working Girl; Young Frankenstein
and several others. In terms of interactive content, TVLand.com will also
feature interviews with the creators, actors and producers from TV history from
the Academy of Television Arts and Science’s Archive of American Television. TV Land fans also have their say through cell
phone text messaging on various programs, watch full episodes of original
programs on TVLand.com, or purchase them via iTunes. TV Land will also feature
a WAP version of its website, which will debut in the second quarter of this year.

Finally, beginning October
1, TV Land will encourage its audiences to give back to society through Cause
Change
, TV Land's newest
pro-social initiative.

officially over."
