Aardman Scores Nick International Deal

BRISTOL, March 13: Aardman Animation’s new CBBC series Shaun
the Sheep
has been licensed to Nickelodeon
International for a range of worldwide markets, including Australia and India.

On the heels of a range of other deals for the show, the
Nick agreement now brings Shaun the Sheep
to a total of 72 territories. The deal announced today includes the rights for
Benelux, Spain, India, Australia and New Zealand. The series will launch in
Benelux in April, Spain and India in May, and Australia and New Zealand later
in the year once it has broadcast on ABC and TVNZ.

The 40×7-minute stop-motion animated series commissioned by
CBBC and directed by Richard Goleszowski features the star of the Oscar-winning
Wallace and Gromit short A Close Shave. Making
its debut this month, the series is aimed primarily at children aged 4-10 years
old.
