Film1 Picks up Quiz Format from FCCE

AMSTERDAM, February 21: The Dutch movie channel Film1 has
acquired the high-paced quiz format Movie Matrix from FCCE for the Benelux territory.

Created by the Dutch production
outfit New Haven Productions, Movie Matrix is
a Hollywood-related quiz show that involves three contestants and a 3×3 grid
called the Movie Matrix. In four rounds, clips and interview quotes pertaining
to films, stars, and other related subjects are fired upon the contestants. In
the final, the two best contestants square off and must answer questions asked
in person by famous Hollywood stars.

“We’re convinced that Movie
Matrix
will be a success for channels with
a young target audience that is interested in interactive entertainment with a
touch of Hollywood glamour,” said Justus Verkerk, the CCO of FCCE. “The pilot
produced in the Netherlands proved the potential success. We’re really happy
that Film1 is willing to explore this opportunity.”

Film1, a Dutch pay-TV service
of chellomedia, has four movie channels.
