DECODE Entertainment Finds U.S. Home for Planet Sketch

TORONTO, January 22: Nicktoons Network, Nickelodeon’s
24-hour animation network, has ordered all 26 11-minute episodes of DECODE
Entertainment’s animated series Planet Sketch for launch this spring.

The series is commissioned by Canada’s Teletoon and the
U.K.’s CiTV and co-produced with Aardman Animations. It is a series of shorts
that features the Street Rappers, a collection of young rappers who enjoy rapping
about childish things, and the Parping Ponies, two horses who struggle to hold
down decent jobs “due to flatulence issues.”

A host of international broadcasters have acquired the
series, including France 3, ABC Australia, Jetix Europe, Cartoon Network Asia
Pacific and Cartoon Network Latin America, TV12 Singapore, Denmark’s TV2 and
South Africa’s M-Net. The series recently premiered
on Nickelodeon in France.
