MTV Renews Making the Band with Sean “Diddy” Combs

NEW YORK, January 17: MTV:
Music Television is bringing Making the Band back for a new season, with Sean “Diddy” Combs now
looking to form a boy band.

Open call auditions for Making
the Band 4 are scheduled to kick
off today in Los Angeles, before heading to Orlando and New York, among other
cities. For the first time ever, candidates unable to make the open calls can
post audition videos online, via makingtheband.MTV.com, which in turn allows
viewers to vote for their favorite candidates.

In the last season, Combs
created the successful all-girl band Danity Kane. In Making The Band 4, Diddy sets out to form a new boy band. The series is scheduled to premiere in
the second quarter of this year.
