Distraction Brings Comedy to NATPE

MONTREAL, January 17:
Distraction is exploiting its growing Funny Home Video Library with more episodes of Comedy of Errors, which is being showcased at NATPE with a new
collection called Distraction Gags.

Gags is a new hidden-camera
collection suitable for mobile, Internet, in-flight or standard
broadcasting—the clips are available on a pick-and-choose basis or as 112
two-and-a-half-minute segments. The Funny Home Video Library is home to 13,000 clips divided into 13
categories. Comedy of Errors,
now with 52 half-hour episodes, taps into that collection. Recently sold to
Morocco, Turkey and France, the show has previously aired in a slew of
international territories.

“A few years ago content
was king, and this really hasn't changed,” said Michel Rodrigue, the president
and CEO of Distraction. “The proliferation of platforms and relentless pressure
on producers and broadcasters to produce at minimal cost means there’s a steady
demand for library content of clips and segments.”
