FremantleMedia Hires Licensing Exec from Mark Burnett Productions

LONDON, November 28: FremantleMedia Licensing
Worldwide (FLW), the licensing division of FremantleMedia, is expanding its
U.S. ancillary rights operations with two new appointments.

Shannon Sweeny has been named VP of integrated marketing for
North America and joins the company from Mark Burnett Productions. In this
newly created role, Sweeny will oversee all in-show and off-air sponsorship
deals in North America, which include a range of partnerships with many of the
largest advertisers in the U.S., including Coca Cola, Ford and Cingular. Sweeny
will be based in Los Angeles and will report directly to Keith Hindle, the
executive VP of FremantleMedia Licensing Worldwide, North America.

As head of business development and integrated
marketing at Mark Burnett Productions, Sweeny led the sales and business
development team working on brands such as The Apprentice, The Contender, ROCK STAR and Gold Rush.

Felicity Carr has been promoted to the newly
created role of director of sponsorship and live events, reporting to Sweeny.
Carr, who joins the U.S. team in New York from FLW’s Sydney office, will be
responsible for extending FremantleMedia’s extensive portfolio of program
brands through off-air sponsorships and live events. She has already
spearheaded the US debut of The Price Is Right and Family Feud live stage shows, making them two of the most
popular entertainment destinations in Las Vegas and Atlantic City respectively.
