HBO to Launch New Music Series

NEW YORK, October 27: HBO is giving viewers an advance look
at its new music series Off the Record
with host Dave Stewart on November 24 with an episode featuring Bono and The
Edge from U2.

Featuring top music stars from a wide range of genres in
intimate conversations, the series will kick off its regular run in January.
Each edition of the new series will be shot before an audience of fellow
musicians and fans, and spotlight performers from the worlds of rap, rock,
soul, folk, punk, country and blues. Artists will discuss the songs and
performers who influenced them, as well as explain their own work. Episodes
will also feature music videos, concert footage and even home movies.

Host Dave Stewart is one-half of the Eurythmics, along with
Annie Lennox. One of the show’s executive producers is Jimmy
Iovine, who is chairman of Interscope Geffen A&M Records. Executive
producer Howard Klein is an executive producer of The Office and was an
executive producer of HBO’s Carnivale. Executive
producer Jonathan Prince was the creator and an executive producer of the
series American Dreams.
