Rainbow Showcases New Animation

LORETO, October 5: Italy’s Rainbow is anxious to showcase to
buyers the new creation from the company’s CEO, Iginio Straffi, Huntik:
Secret and Seekers
.

The 26×30-minute show for 6-to-12 year olds, co-produced
with BigBocca, will be available for presale at MIPCOM. In the series, Dante,
Lok, Sofia and Zhalia encounter ancient legends across the world, battling
Dracula in Transylvania, the Minotaur in Crete, and Thor in Iceland, in their
quest to collect the mysterious and powerful amulets—the source of their
magical powers. As they do so, the heroes most battle evil forces that are
seeking out the amulets.

Rainbow is also promoting the third season of its hit
girl-skewing series Winx Club, for the
5-to-12 set. The new season picks up as the fairies in training enter their
final year at the magical
Alfea college.

There is
also a new season of Monster Allergy, which will be ready for a global rollout in
fall 2007. The boy-skewing series has been a strong performer for Kids’ WB! in
the U.S. It is a co-production of RAI, ZDF and M6.

MIPCOM also sees the international launch of Tommy &
Oscar—The Movie.
An 80-minute feature
film targeting 4-10 year olds, it chronicles the antics of an intrepid young
boy and his alien buddy Oscar as they protect a magical child discovered in
Rome.
