KBS World Expands Japanese Reach

SEOUL, October 2: KBS World, the international channel
operated by the Korean terrestrial KBS, has launched on Japan’s largest MSO,
J:COM.

KBS World, which is also available on Japan’s DTH platform,
SKYPerfectTV!, now reaches 1.3 million Japanese households. KBS World is
available in the country’s major cities, including Tokyo, Osaka, Fukuoka and
Sapporo, offering up 17 hours of content with Japanese subtitles. KBS World is
now the only non-Japanese Asian channel on J:COM’s basic package.
