TORONTO, August 29: Muse Entertainment’s This is
Wonderland leads the nominations for the 21st
Annual Gemini Awards, which will be presented by the Academy of Canadian Cinema
& Television at the River
Rock Casino Resort on November 4.

This Is Wonderland
received 14 nominations; followed by ReGenesis with 10 nominations. The mini series Prairie
Giant: The Tommy Douglas Story and the
fifth estate follow with nine nominations
each and One Dead Indian, At
the Hotel and Slings & Arrows round out the top five with four nominations each.

In the best TV movie category, the nominations are Heyday!,
Hunt for Justice: The Louise Arbour Story, Intelligence,
One Dead Indian and Terry. For best
dramatic mini-series, Human Trafficking is up against Prairie Giant: The Tommy Douglas Story and Trudeau II: Maverick in the Making.

In the dramatic series category, the contenders are Moccasin
Flats, ReGenesis II, Slings & Arrows, Terminal City and This Is Wonderland.
For best comedy, the nominees are Corner Gas, History Bites: Mother Britain, Jeff Ltd., Kenny vs. Spenny 2, Naked
