FILMART Unveils Full Schedule

The 30th edition of the Hong Kong International Film and TV Market (FILMART), set to run from March 17 to 20, will feature a variety of panel discussions, fireside chats, masterclasses and business matchmaking sessions.

The Producers Connect program, inaugurated last year by the Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau, CCIDA, Hong Kong Film Development Council and Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) will be returning, this time featuring ten international film promotion agencies with delegations of renowned producers.

The AI Hub, introduced last year, will return on a larger scale this year. Organized by the HKTDC and co-organized by the Association of Motion Picture Post Production Professionals, the platform will gather leading AI and tech enterprises to empower industry professionals in harnessing AI advancements. A new addition this year is the AI Academy, funded by the Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency (CCIDA) and the Film Development Fund, which will host more than 15 themed workshops featuring expert instructors.

EntertainmentPulse, organized by the HKTDC, will be held concurrently with FILMART, gathering global film and TV industry leaders to provide insights into topics such as AI, video streaming, project financing, micro-dramas, co-productions and animation. Speakers will include Yunan Zhang, VP of MiniMax; James Gibbons, president of AsiaPac at Warner Bros. Discovery; and Xiaoqian Chen, VP of Mansen (Shenzhen) Culture Media Co.

The Entertainment Expo Hong Kong will take place from March 15 to April 19 and will feature eight major events: FILMART; Hong Kong International Film Festival (HKIFF); Hong Kong Film Awards (HKFA); Asian Film Awards; Digital Entertainment Summit; EntertainmentPulse; Hong Kong—Asia Film Financing Forum (HAF); and the Microfilm Production Support Scheme (Music). Together, these events amplify Hong Kong’s standing as a leading entertainment hub in Asia.
