HBO Max Names Senior Content Execs

Sarah Aubrey, formerly at TNT, has been tapped as head of original content at HBO Max, reporting to Kevin Reilly, chief content officer at WarnerMedia’s upcoming streaming service.

Aubrey’s team includes Joey Chavez as EVP of original drama, Jessie Henderson as EVP of original feature films, Jeniffer Kim as senior VP of international originals, Suzanna Makkos as EVP of original comedy and animation and Jennifer O’Connell as EVP of original non-fiction and kids.

Reilly has also unveiled his business operations and strategy group, including Eric Besner as senior VP of business development and strategy, Sandra Dewey as president of business operations and production, Meredith Gertler as EVP of program strategy and planning (reporting into Casey Bloys, president of HBO Programming, with a dual function on HBO Max) and Michael Quigley as EVP of content acquisitions and strategy. Patrick Kelly, EVP of business affairs, will report to Dewey.
 
HBO Max is expected to feature a slate of over 10,000 hours of content when it launches in the spring of 2020.
