Propagate has expanded its international distribution team, aligned under Cyrus Farrokh.

Among those joining the distribution team, led by Propagate Content International President Cyrus Farrokh, are Electus alums Max Richards, Nick Wang, David Martinez and Chris Moreton. Richards and Wang have been hired as sales VPs, while Martinez has been tapped to be the senior VP of business and legal affairs and Moreton will serve as a finance consultant. (Propagate acquired Electus in October 2018.)

Propagate has further expanded the team by upping Georgia Berger to manager of global scripted development and distribution, and Dan Thunell to manager of distribution and acquisitions. Chris Olmos is the new supervisor of worldwide technical operations.

“We are extremely pleased to welcome Electus’ talented executive team and its top-tier content to the Propagate family,” said Farrokh. “Along with these well-deserved promotions and our new hire, we have assembled an experienced and dynamic group, which has already gelled into a cohesive unit. We look forward to introducing our distribution partners to our newly expanded team and slate at MIPTV.”

In addition to the reorganization of its international distribution team, Propagate has recently closed format sales for Matchmakers, which is currently in development in the U.S. at The CW. A local version of the format premiered on ProSieben in Germany earlier this month.

Propagate’s distribution arm will feature two Electus-produced unscripted series for sale at MIPTV. The finished tape of Running Wild with Bear Grylls, which premiered on Discovery Networks International globally, has already been licensed to TF1 in France, RTL in Germany, SBS in Australia, TVNZ in New Zealand and Channel 5 in the U.K. Now in its second season, the finished tape of the Ashley Graham-hosted American Beauty Star has been licensed to Prosieben in Germany, Discovery in Latin America, Discovery in India and Taiwan, Fox in the Middle East,  A+E in South Africa and Israel’s Zoom TV.
