NEW YORK: Of all the new shows that launched in November, ABC Family's Pretty Little Liars: Five Years Forward generated the most buzz in social media, with some 145,000 tweets, according to The WIT.

In advance of the January return of Pretty Little Liars, the cast and crew sit down to discuss the highly anticipated time jump in the series in Pretty Little Liars: Five Years Forward. Twitter and Facebook comments were about the #FanCraze for the #LiveChat, with the #Anticipation high about #WhatsNext.

Number two on the list of the top ten most-buzzed-about new shows in social media last month is Marvel's Jessica Jones, which debuted globally on Netflix. In it, Marvel hero Jessica Jones opens her own detective agency after the end of her superhero career. Still suffering from PTSD, she will again face her nemesis Kilgrave (David Tennant). Buzz talk on social media, where there were approximately 86,000 tweets, was about the #Smart and #Funny plot, which makes the superhero character quite #Human. Fans were also buzzing about the #AmazingTennant performance.

From the Philippines, ABS-CBN's Dance Kids garnered around 51,000 tweets. The dancing contest featuring solo, duo and group acts aged 4 to 12 had commenters talking about the #AmazingKids, #NiceFormat and #WittyHosts.

Totalmente Demais, which debuted on Brazil's TV Globo, had around 47,000 social media comments surrounding the debut. The telenovela is about a young woman who moves to Rio de Janeiro to flee her stepfather’s sexual advances. She ends up living with beggars but her life changes rapidly when a rich entrepreneur spots her and gives her a job at a magazine. There was much talk on Facebook and Twitter about the #HighProductionValues and #GreatCast.

Number five on the list is Shining a Light: A Concert for Progress on Race in America. Inspired by the tragic events in Charleston, the concert simulcast by all six A+E Networks channels features performances by Zac Brown Band, Ed Sheeran, Sia, Bruce Springsteen, Sting, Pharrell Williams and more. The #StarFilled, #HighImpact event drew some 42,000 tweets.

The debut of the Turkish drama Muhtesem Yüzyil Kösem on Star TV delivered approximately 37,000 social media comments. The spin-off of the period drama Muhtesem Yüzyil (Magnificent Century) is about the wife of the powerful Sultan Ahmed I at the turn of the 17th century, one of the most powerful women in the history of the Ottoman Empire. The broadcast did spark some #PoliticalControversy on the internet, where some commenters #CriticizedActors.

Another Filipino show, GMA Network's Because of You, drew around 35,000 tweets. The romantic telenovela is about an independent woman with a foolish heart who continues to pursue love even after several failed attempts. Social media commenters called the #RomCom #Engaging and #Exciting.

The debut of Into the Badlands on AMC in the U.S. saw some 33,000 tweets. The action drama series loosely based on the classic Chinese tale Journey to the West tells the story of a great warrior and a young boy who embark on a journey across a dangerous land controlled by feudal barons to find enlightenment. Even though viewers thought the show was #Beautiful and #Cinematic, many were commenting about the #DisappointingStoryline or thought it was #Boring.

The U.K.'s broadcast of Adele at The BBC had around 29,000 comments in social media. The one-off event saw Adele perform classic tracks as well as songs from her new album 25, accompanied by her live band. She also chatted with Graham Norton about her career and life. Social media commenters thought the event was #Brilliant, buzzing about the #LovelyLady and her #FlawlessVoice.

Capping off the list at number ten is Chicago Med, which premiered on NBC in the U.S. The new spin-off of the drama Chicago Fire focuses on the day-to-day chaos of the city's most explosive hospital and the courageous team of doctors who hold it together. Around 28,000 tweets were sent out about the #Emotional and #Intense debut, with social media chatter about the #GoodLookingDocs.
