SANTA MONICA: Hulu and Viacom have renewed and expanded their content partnership with a new multiyear agreement that sees Hulu become the exclusive SVOD home to a number of hit series from Nickelodeon, Comedy Central and MTV.

The deal continues the two companies’ existing pact, under which full episodes of such late-night programs as The Daily Show with Trevor Noah are available to stream on Hulu the day after their linear broadcast, and current seasons of select shows from Viacom’s media networks remain available to stream on delay after their linear broadcast. All Viacom series will be available to stream on Hulu with either limited or no commercials, depending on the price of the monthly subscription fee.

The new partnership gives Hulu the exclusive SVOD rights to past and future seasons of the Comedy Central hits Inside Amy Schumer, Broad City, Drunk History and Key & Peele, as well as MTV’s Faking It and Finding Carter. Additional seasons of Workaholics, Awkward and Catfish: The TV Show are also now available to stream on Hulu.

The agreement also increases Hulu’s catalogue of exclusive kids’ programming from Nickelodeon. Full past seasons of Nick shows that have never before been offered on Hulu are now exclusive to the service. Titles include Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Rabbids Invasion, Sanjay and Craig, Breadwinners, Bella and the Bulldogs and The Thundermans. Also, all episodes of the classics Doug and Rugrats, as well as T.U.F.F. Puppy and Planet Sheen, will become available to stream for the first time ever on Hulu. These join a number of other Viacom shows that will continue to remain available on the service.

“Viacom has been an important partner of ours since we struck our first deal with them over five years ago and our relationship has only grown since then,” said Mike Hopkins, the CEO of Hulu. “Today, we are not only extending our deal, but we are adding more premium content than ever from their popular family of networks.”

“We are thrilled to be expanding our successful relationship with Hulu as they continue to build an even bigger and better service for subscribers and our passionate viewers,” added Philippe Dauman, Viacom’s president and CEO. “Hulu has been a great partner for Viacom for many years. They have a commitment to their customers and brand partners and value how Viacom’s popular range of youthful brands and programs create a better experience for Hulu users. We also value the promotional and marketing support they provide for our brands and shows.”
