NATPE Lines Up Speakers for Storytellers and the Shaping of Pop Culture Track

LOS ANGELES: Among the speakers set to take part in NATPE's Storytellers and the Shaping of Pop Culture conference track are Vince Gilligan, Morgan Spurlock, Ted Sarandos and Cris Abrego.

The sessions include 2015 Legacy Honoree Jay Leno trading stories with Craig Ferguson, recent host of The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson. Dan Harmon, creator/executive producer of the comedy series Community, will have a dedicated session, as will documentarian and writer Spurlock.

In celebration of America’s Funniest Home Videos’ 25th anniversary, creator and executive producer Vin Di Bona will be joined by executive producers Todd Thicke, Michele Nasraway and Emmy Award-winning host Tom Bergeron.

The multi-hyphenate media mogul Russell Simmons will take part in a NATPE session. Simmons’ business ventures include, but are not limited to, TV shows, movie production, management, publishing, advertising and retail.

Legacy Honoree Jonathan Murray, the chairman of Bunim/Murray Productions, will be on-stage with Abrego, co-chairman and co-CEO of Endemol North America.

Sarandos, the chief content officer of Netflix and also a 2015 Legacy Honoree, will be joined by Emmy Award-winning writer and producer Mitchell Hurwitz, best known for creating and executive producing Arrested Development, as well as Gilligan, creator and producer of Breaking Bad.
