TORONTO/MINNEAPOLIS: Steven Schussler, founder of the Rainforest Cafe restaurant chain and CEO of Schussler Creative, has inked a development agreement with Canada’s Buck Productions.

Schussler began working in radio and television sales and later decided to enter the creative side of the industry. As the head of Schussler Creative, he has worked with Walt Disney World Resort, Build-A-Bear Workshop and Orange County Choppers to build unique, themed dining experiences. His most recent project is T-Rex Cafe, an interactive dining and retail establishment.

In addition to his business ventures, Schussler is the author of It’s a Jungle in There: Inspiring Lessons, Hard-Won Insights, and Other Acts of Entrepreneurial Daring by the Founder of the Rainforest Café. He also speaks about entrepreneurship at events around the continent.

"The power of Steven’s creativity has opened my eyes to a world of possibilities for competition and reality-based series that entertain and educate audiences," said Jim Kiriakakis the head of television for Buck Productions. "Steven insists that any project we take on had to be able to do both. And that says a lot about who Steven is as a person and an entrepreneur."

"I am very proud to be working with Buck Productions on television formats that fit the Schussler Creative philosophy of innovation," said Schussler. "We are looking forward to creating a show that combines the ideals of passion and imagination, the two most powerful engines of success. Any project I take on holds true to these core values."
