BUDAPEST: Flagship titles from the HISTORY catalogue, including Ice Road Truckers and Pawn Stars, have been popular for A+E Networks in Central and Eastern Europe, according to Jo Lovell, the company’s director of content sales for Europe.

The new HISTORY title Mankind: The Story of All of Us will be on offer at NATPE Budapest. “It’s a huge project with groundbreaking production techniques, which will bring to life the greatest landmarks of human achievement as never seen before,” explains Lovell. “Given the nature of this show, it has fantastic appeal to a worldwide audience.”

More recently, titles from A+E’s Lifetime catalogue have been garnering buyers’ attention, Lovell reports. The portfolio includes Dance Moms, 7 Days of Sex and The Conversation with Amanda de Cadenet. At NATPE Budapest, A+E Networks will be bringing out new episodes of Dance Moms as well as the brand-new spinoff Dance Moms: Miami. “Dance, in general, is a universal language that all audiences can appreciate and enjoy watching,” Lovell says.

Also from Lifetime, A+E is highlighting the 2012 catalogue of TV movies, including Liz & Dick, starring Lindsay Lohan.

“A+E Networks is armed with an always expanding catalogue that is second to none in terms of quality, and we’re looking forward to continuing to expand business in the CEE regions this year,” says Lovell.
