BARCELONA: Leopard Films USA has scooped up the rights to produce ohm:tv’s format The Impostor in the U.S., marking a first-ever format deal for the Argonon Group company.

Created by the Spanish production company Pausoka Entertainment, The Impostor is a one-hour family-oriented format that combines reality and game-show elements. The show watches as a contestant spends a weekend with a family in their own home, which is occupied by an "impostor," posing as a family member. The contestant must deduct clues to determine who belongs in the family and who is the fake.

Joris Eckelkamp, the CEO and co-founder of ohm:tv, commented, “I’m delighted that The Impostor has been optioned for the United States. This program has a winning combination and adds huge potential with its mix of reality and game-show format.”

Nick Rigg, the president of Leopard Films USA, added: “This deal marks an important landmark for Argonon and we are delighted to be working with ohm.tv. We are proud of our relationships with U.S. networks and this show fits our remit of finding exciting new formats that we can option for local production.”
